Salil Chari is Regional President for FedEx Asia Pacific (APAC), based in Singapore.  In this role, Chari leads a team of approximately 30,000 across the region and is responsible for setting the strategic direction, driving profitable growth and delivering outstanding experience and operational excellence in the region.Â
Chari began his career with the company in 1997 in Memphis as a marketing analyst. He has held various leadership positions across the company in Latin America (LAC), Asia Pacific (APAC) and Asia, the Middle East and Africa (AMEA). Most recently, he was the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience for FedEx Asia Pacific, responsible for commercial strategy and execution, improving customer experience and profitable market share gain.Â
Chari’s success within the FedEx organization has been rewarded five times with the FedEx Five Star Award, the company’s highest team member honor. He has also served as an advisory board member for the Salvation Army and the Americas Relief Team.Â
Chari holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
