FedEx® Reporting Online (FRO) is a Web-based application that enables you to request, view and download reports concerning the business activity you have with FedEx. In FedEx Reporting Online, you can check status of current report requests, schedule weekly and monthly reports and invite other registered users to share your accounts for reporting purposes.

All data in FedEx Reporting Online reflects shipments that have been invoiced. FedEx Reporting Online is available for all U.S. and International FedEx Express Ground shipments for U.S.-based accounts.

What shipments are available in FedEx Reporting Online?

FedEx Reporting Online reports include all U.S. and international FedEx Express and FedEx Ground shipments for U.S.-based accounts. Shipments sent via other FedEx services may be available in the future.

Who can request reports through FedEx Reporting Online?

All customers who have an active U.S.-based shipping account with FedEx can register to use FedEx Reporting Online. The first user to register an account for FedEx Reporting Online will automatically become the administrator for the account, and will be able to invite additional users to use FedEx Reporting Online.

What is an account administrator?

An account administrator is the first user to register a nine-digit account number for FedEx Reporting Online. The account administrator has two additional options under the Administration tab — Users and Change Administrator.

Can I transfer administrator rights for my accounts?

Use the Change Administrator option under the Administration tab, to transfer administrator rights on your accounts. When you take this action, you will no longer have any administrative control for reporting purposes on the accounts to which you have reassigned administrator rights.

Can other employees at my company request reports on my account(s)?

FedEx Reporting Online provides administrative functionality that allows the administrator to invite other users to share accounts. The administrator is the only person who can invite other employees to share accounts for reporting purposes. Invited users must have the same e-mail domain.

What is an invited user?

An invited user is a registered user of FedEx Reporting Online that is invited to share and run reports on the accounts of another registered user.

Can anyone else see my shipments in a report?

Only users you have invited to share your account(s) can view reports on your shipments.

Can I create groups of accounts to use in my reports?

A registered user with multiple accounts can group those accounts and save the groups for future reporting needs.

Can I add other accounts to my profile?

You can add accounts to your profile as long as you can authenticate yourself as the administrator for those accounts. Alternatively, you can also be invited to access accounts as an invited user. To add an account, follow the instructions provided on the Administration tab within FedEx Reporting Online. You will be required to authenticate that you are the administrator for the account you want to add by providing 1) the exact billing address shown in the FedEx customer database and 2) two invoice numbers for the account you are registering.

What if I get a red message stating "Exceeded limits" above the account listing when I am adding accounts?

This message means there are more than 100 accounts in the accounts list. The drop-down list can display up to 100 entries. To view additional accounts, use the search feature below the list to filter the view and see additional accounts. The search can be filtered by account number, account name, city or state.

What if I need to view reports for a national account?

Contact your sales professional and ask for national account access permission which can only be granted by the sales professional.

How many months of reporting data can I request?

For Summary and Detail report the maximum months of data available is 24. FedEx Reporting Online allows you to request 12 weeks of weekly data, and 24 months of monthly data.

How quickly does my shipment data become available in FedEx Reporting Online reports?

Availability of data in FedEx Reporting Online is based upon the invoice date, not the ship or delivery date. Three days after the invoice week has closed, the data will be available in FedEx Reporting Online reports.

What is a standard report?

Standard reports refers to a selection of pre-formatted reports created by FedEx to provide you with shipment information about your packages. These reports are intended to help you manage your business or shipments more effectively.

What types of reports can I request?

FedEx Reporting Online has six standard open-access reports available to any registered user. A description of the report detail is available on the Description of Standard Report Types page in this document index. Or you can access report descriptions from the online Report Results screen by clicking the “Show report legend” link.

What is a scheduled report?

On any of the standard report request screens, you have the option to choose either run a one-time (on demand ) report or set up a “run schedule” for the report to run either weekly or monthly.

How do I check the status of my report requests?

You can check the status of your report requests on the Report Status page in FedEx Reporting Online. Once your report is ready for download, the Report Status page will display a status of Complete. If you choose to receive e-mail status notifications from your e-mail preferences in FedEx Reporting Online, an e-mail will be sent to you informing you that your report is ready for download or viewing.

Can I import downloaded detailed files into a database?

Detailed reports are provided in the Comma Separated Values (CSV) format only. This file format can be opened as a Microsoft® Excel file by selecting “text” in the “Files of type:” prompt in the “Open File” dialogue box. CSV files can be imported quickly into other database programs. Please refer to the Microsoft® Help file “Importing, exporting and linking” for help with importing CSV report files into Microsoft® Access.

Can I change the way data in reports is graphed?

The graph type or format cannot be changed in the online view. However, graphs contained in downloaded Microsoft® Excel files or Microsoft® Excel files with PivotTable format can be manipulated. Please refer to Microsoft® Excel Help, key word “Graph” or “Chart” to learn how to change the graphs in Microsoft® Excel.
