The FedEx Freight zone-based rates simplify the complexity of general less-than-truckload (LTL) pricing. To find the rate for a shipment, customers use the simple online tool to download a customized zone locator chart. The chart is used in conjunction with FedEx Freight rate tables to determine the price for a freight shipment based on weight and zone.

Along with the online access to the zone locator tool, customers also have access to the additional pickup and delivery charge tier lists and zone-based rates booklets. The FedEx Freight zone-based rates are referred to as FXF PZONE (for FedEx Freight® Priority service) and FXF EZONE (for FedEx Freight® Economy service).

All new customer accounts are placed on the FedEx Freight zone-based rates. All existing customer accounts (created before Jan. 4, 2016) will not automatically move to FedEx Freight zone-based rates, but they can request to be moved by contacting their FedEx account executive or calling the FedEx Freight Customer Service team at 1.866.393.4585.
