What Does FedEx Do?
FedEx may send the account owner an e-mail each time someone else obtains the ability to use your account number for shipping purposes on FedEx Ship Manager® at fedex.com. The e-mail will contain the name of the person who has gained access, a partial account number, as well as other pertinent information.
Protecting Your Account Number
FedEx programs designed to help protect your account
Shipping Administration is the primary means of managing and protecting your FedEx account. As a shipping administrator, you decide who gets access to your account, and can manage their shipping activities on fedex.com. FedEx recommends that all account owners register online for Shipping Administration. Learn more about the benefits of Shipping Administration.
If your account number is not administered through Shipping Administration, FedEx may notify you when anyone associates your account number with their FedEx online login ID and password for shipping purposes. FedEx has built safeguards to help prevent this, however, if someone has the required information, they may still be able to use your account.
Your Responsibility
| Report Fraud If you believe that the person named in the e-mail should not use your account number, please contact FedEx via e-mail. Please specify that you'd like FedEx to block this person's ability to use your account number, and provide your name and phone number. Alternately, you can contact FedEx at 1.877.339.2774 to address this issue. Not the Account Owner? |
