FedEx SmartPost labels have gotten even smarter. The new labels offer you new possibilities for communicating with your customers or your shipping and receiving operations. Plus they make it even easier for you to track when shipments are delivered. And, of course, FedEx SmartPost continues to provide the same cost-effective, reliable service businesses and customers have come to expect.

  • Outbound label changes

  • No more FedEx Ground barcode.
  • A customer reference barcode is now available to print on outbound shipments, making it easier to track the status of deliveries and scan into inbound receiving systems.
  • Blank space is added to the shipping label so customers can include a logo or custom message. Not available when using fedex.com.
  • Labels are marked with an “S” so packages can be clearly identified as a FedEx SmartPost package.

  • Return label changes

  • No more FedEx Ground barcode.
  • The shipping label now includes a new FedEx SmartPost 2D barcode. This can be omitted for print return labels, leaving room for customizable blank space if the FedEx shipping system used supports customization. Not available when using fedex.com.
