Customize deliveries to your home

FedEx® Delivery Manager
Get convenience and flexibility for deliveries to your home. You can view upcoming deliveries to your home address, get status updates, or schedule a delivery by choosing your preferred date, time, or date and time combination. Or you can choose to deliver to another address — in your neighborhood or across the U.S. — or select from free options such as Hold at FedEx Location. Go to fedex.com/delivery to sign up.

Please note: These services are available for eligible FedEx Express®, FedEx Ground®, and FedEx Home Delivery® shipments destined for U.S. residential addresses. See specifics for each service below. Some restrictions apply.

What delivery options are available for my residential deliveries? 
Please note: certain options may not apply to specific deliveries. FedEx Delivery Manager will allow recipients to select eligible delivery options only.

Schedule your delivery
Select this option if you want to choose a date or time for FedEx to deliver your package. You can choose to have your package delivered:
  • In the evening on the expected delivery day.
  • On a specific operating day within 5 calendar days of expected delivery day (original delivery time applies).
  • During a specific 2-hour window on a specific operating day within 5 calendar days of the expected delivery day. Note: For FedEx Express shipments, you can enter a 2-hour delivery window. For FedEx Home Delivery shipments, you can enter a preferred time of day (Morning, Mid-day, Afternoon, or Late Afternoon) along with your phone number and FedEx will contact you to set a 2 hour delivery window.
A fee is required for this service and can be paid by credit or debit card. If registered for FedEx Delivery Manager, you can save your credit card to your profile.

This option applies to eligible US domestic shipments only. Deliver to another address
Select this option to have your package delivered somewhere other than the initial residential destination. Enter the new address and then select an alternate delivery day. Note: The recipient’s name must remain the same.

A fee is required for this service and can be paid by credit or debit card. If registered for FedEx Delivery Manager, you can save your credit card to your profile.

This option applies to eligible US domestic shipments only.

Hold at FedEx location
Select this option to have your package held for pick up at a nearby FedEx location at no extra cost. Choose your preferred location.

This option may be selected by 11:59 p.m. local destination time the night before the expected delivery day, to be held for pickup on the original delivery day. However, this option may also be selected on the expected delivery day before the package is delivered, but certain time restrictions apply. Please note:
  • This option applies to eligible US domestic and US inbound shipments.
  • Shipments can only be released to the named recipient or recipient representative with a government-issued photo ID that matches the original shipment name and address.
  • Shipments are held for five business days and then returned to the shipper if not picked up by the named recipient or recipient representative with proper identification
  • Location options for FedEx Express, FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery shipments must be in the delivery area of the FedEx Express or FedEx Ground station.

Sign for a package
Select this option if you want to sign for your residential delivery in advance. This only applies to packages that require an Indirect Signature.

For FedEx Express shipments, enter your electronic signature (name). For FedEx Home Delivery shipments, print a form to sign and attach to your front door.

This option does not apply to packages with Direct Signature Required (someone at the delivery address) or Adult Signature Required (someone at least 21 years old at the delivery address).

This option applies to eligible US domestic and US inbound shipments.

Provide delivery instructions
Provide additional instructions on how you want your package to be delivered to your home. For example, you can instruct your driver to leave a delivery at your back door or apartment office. Or you can provide details that will help the driver find your residential address.

Please note:
  • These instructions will be used for all deliveries to this residential address regardless of the recipient name associated with the package. The latest Delivery Instructions saved, updated or turned off will apply.>/li>
  • All residents of the address that have signed up for FedEx Delivery Manager will be notified of any changes made to the Delivery Instructions.
  • This change will take effect on the following operating day and will not affect deliveries scheduled for the day the change was submitted.
This option applies to eligible US domestic and US inbound shipments.

Request vacation hold
Select this option to suspend all shipments to your residential address during a particular date range up to 14 days. FedEx will resume normal delivery on the first business day after the end date that you specify.

Please note:
  • This option will take effect on the following operating day and will not affect deliveries scheduled for the day the change was submitted.
  • Only one vacation hold is effective per residential address during a 14-day period.
  • This option applies to all deliveries to this residential address regardless of the recipient name associated with the package. The latest Vacation Hold saved, updated or turned off will apply.
  • All residents of the address that have signed up for FedEx Delivery Manager will be notified of any changes made to the Vacation Hold.
This option applies to eligible US domestic and US inbound shipments.

When is the latest I can request a delivery option for a delivery coming to my home?

To apply delivery options to a specific delivery, the option(s) must be selected by 11:59 p.m. local destination time the night before the expected delivery day.

Please note: the Hold at FedEx Location option may be selected by 11:59 p.m. local destination time the night before the expected delivery day, to be held for pickup on the original delivery day. However, this option may also be selected on the expected delivery day before the package is delivered, but certain time restrictions apply.

Why are certain delivery options unavailable to me?
Certain options may not apply to specific deliveries. FedEx Delivery Manager will allow recipients to select eligible delivery options only. In addition, merchant shippers may restrict certain delivery options or may not allow recipients to change the destination address once the shipment is in transit.
