FedEx Express
We announced a peak surcharge on all FedEx Express international shipments beginning April 6, 2020.
We implemented this surcharge due to the various COVID-19 containment restrictions issued in countries around the world. The restrictions are disrupting the global supply chain. As a result, air cargo capacity is limited, and we are incurring incremental costs as we adjust our international networks to best deliver much-needed goods and services in this constrained environment.
The surcharge does not apply to intra-Canada shipments.
Beginning Jan. 25, 2021, the surcharge amount for FedEx Express international package and freight shipments originating in Japan, Singapore, Thailand, and South Korea will increase from $0.14 per lb. (0.5 kg) to $0.65 per lb. (0.5 kg).
