Service Guide Amendments

Important information regarding changes to FedEx® services and terms and conditions, since the publication of the FedEx Service Guide (Effective September 11, 2026), Canadian Edition and the FedEx International Premium™ and FedEx® International Express Freight Terms & Conditions are detailed below. Except as amended, modified or supplemented by the following, the FedEx Service Guide and the FedEx International Premium™ and FedEx® International Express Freight Terms & Conditions shall remain in full force and effect.

Amendment No. 1: FedEx Express Terms and Conditions

Effective September 11, 2026, the FedEx Service Guide (Canadian Edition, Effective September 11, 2026) is amended as follows:

 

Page 13, Delivery Signature Options 

The title of this section is updated to “Delivery Signature Options and FedEx Authenticated Delivery”.

The following new paragraph is added to the Delivery Signature Options and FedEx Authenticated Delivery section as subparagraph (e) and all subsequent subparagraphs are renumbered accordingly:

e). FedEx Authenticated Delivery. FedEx will require recipient authentication via a unique QR code at delivery. A printed QR code will not be accepted at the time of delivery unless presented by someone at the delivery address. The following services are not available for FedEx Authenticated Delivery shipments: FedEx® Delivery Signature Options, hold at location, redirect to hold, address corrections, and counter pickups at any FedEx locations. The FedEx Authenticated Delivery QR code expires within 45 days.

The following new paragraph is added to the Pickup and Delivery Service section as subparagraph (l) and all subsequent subparagraphs are renumbered accordingly:

(l) The recipient of a FedEx Authenticated Delivery shipment must ensure someone is home and present with the unique QR code at the time of delivery. Due to security measures required for FedEx Authenticated Delivery shipments, recipients will not be eligible to change the delivery address or request a Hold at Location pickup. If the shipment cannot be delivered to the recipient address after three delivery attempts, it will be returned to the shipper.

(b) If after two attempted deliveries and/or two attempts to notify the recipient, or after being held for five business days from the date the shipment is received and has cleared customs in the destination station, the shipment will be considered undeliverable (See “Undeliverable Shipments”). For packages destined to a residential address in the U.S., one delivery attempt will be made, then we will, at our sole option, either attempt re-delivery or hold the shipment at our facility and contact the recipient or shipper for further instructions. After five business days from the date of the shipment, the shipment will be considered undeliverable (See “Undeliverable Shipments”).

Effective September 11, 2026, the FedEx Service Guide (Canadian Edition, Effective September 11, 2026) is amended as follows:

 

All references to “FedEx Ground Package System Corporation” are amended and replaced with “Federal Express Canada Corporation”.
