The FedEx Office Web Services Testing Environment is a functional, full-run-time environment ideal for testing your solutions. Although good for confirming functionality, it should not be used for stress testing. Developers should test their code independently to assure desired operation.

Obtain Your Test Key
Obtaining testing credentials is easy. To begin, click the icon below and provide the requested information. By default, test credentials are initially disabled for FedEx Office Web Services. Therefore, once you receive your credentials, please follow the next section’s instructions to enable your test credentials.

Enable Your Test Key
To enable newly assigned test credentials for use with FedEx Office Web Services:

  • Save a copy of the Developer Test Key Enablement Request Form available here.
  • Complete the Developer Test Key Enablement Request Form and submit the document as instructed therein.

The FedEx Office Web Services team will review your request and contact you regarding your test credentials.

The documents referenced above are provided in Adobe® Acrobat® Portable Document Format (PDF). To read these files, download Adobe Reader® here.

When shipping with FedEx Freight LTL using FedEx Office Web Services, you will need a FedEx Express account as well as a FedEx Freight account within your application. Test accounts are provided for both operating companies when you register for test credentials. If you do not have a FedEx Freight account established for production, please call 1.866.393.4585 (toll-free).

The FedEx Testing Environment does incur unexpected downtime throughout the year, and may see extended downtime during our twice-a-year corporate loads in January and June.

Certification
Once you’ve completed project design, implementation, and testing, you are ready for the certification phase with FedEx Office Web Services.

  • FedEx will confirm that coding and testing of the developer’s solution are complete prior to granting production credentials and authorizing deployment. Additionally, FedEx may require the developer to provide information regarding the design and implementation of the proposed solution.
  • Developers must provide a signed End User License Agreement (EULA).

Consultants developing on behalf of a FedEx customer must ensure that the client provides their contact information and a signed End User License Agreement to FedEx prior to initiating the certification process.

  • FedEx Office Web Services commercial developer certification must be completed in order to distribute or host software containing FedEx Office Web Services functionality. For further information and to register as a commercial developer, click here.
  • The FedEx Office Web Services team will assist in determining the best path for certifying each product. The exact certification process will depend on the nature of the implementation.
