Basic Integrated Visibility is available for free through the FedEx Developer Portal (FDP).
You can access Advanced Integrated Visibility or Premium Integrated Visibility with a paid subscription. Once your subscription is set up, you can access the webhook for Advanced Integrated Visibility via the FedEx Developer Portal. For Premium Integrated Visibility, dedicated customer support is provided to access the webhook. Please contact your FedEx Sales representative or complete this form to learn more.
You can set up Basic Integrated Visibility independently (self-service) by following these steps:
- Go to the FedEx Developer Portal (FDP) and review Getting Started
- In the API Catalog page click the ‘Basic Integrated Visibility’ tile
- Review the documentation
- Log in to the portal with your FedEx user ID and password, or sign up if you don’t have one
- Create an organization and link it to a 9-digit FedEx account number
- Add a project under your new organization (Org) to access Basic Integrated Visibility
No, Integrated Visibility is powered by APIs and webhooks — it is not a user interface (UI). A technical environment is required to receive its data via API or webhook. The data insights can then be used to power your own dashboard, website, customer communications, and other digital systems. Integrated Visibility provides insights across different areas varying by customer, shipment type, service type, and subscription type. Data categories include but aren’t limited to:
- Delivery Insights: Estimated Delivery Dates, Estimated Delivery Time Windows, Proof of Delivery Suite, and address changes
- Shipment location insights: last known locations, clearance statuses, tracking insights, return details, and proactive delays
- Package insights: special handlings, MPS information, and additional shipment details
- Account information: shipper/recipient data, origin/destination details, and billing/brokerage information
