Fewer Steps, Fewer Stops

Replace the maze of multiple distribution channels with a factory-direct shipping solution. By streamlining your supply chain, you'll save time and money while delivering a better customer experience.

Traditional vs. Streamlined Distribution

Traditional Streamlined
When your international packages or freight clear customs as multiple shipments, or your shipments stop at a distribution center prior to final delivery, the process is unnecessarily complex and prolonged. This delay can cost your business time and money.  With FedEx International Priority DirectDistribution®, we consolidate your multiple packages or freight into a single shipment, bypassing distribution centers and clearing customs as a single entity. This process minimizes delays and fees by eliminating unnecessary steps.

Here’s How FedEx International Priority DirectDistribution Works

  1. From origin manufacturing facility, multiple packages or freight are consolidated into a single shipment.
  2. Goods are transported internationally via air, surface or ocean modes and clear customs as a single shipment.
  3. After deconsolidation, FedEx delivers packages or freight directly to multiple customers and retailers.

Frequently Asked Questions

With FedEx International DirectDistribution, FedEx quickly and easily moves your goods across oceans and borders to customers and retail stores. Our portfolio of services combines the reliability and efficiency of the FedEx shipping network with the international forwarding and customs expertise of FedEx Trade Networks to consolidate multiple packages or freight into one shipment for efficient clearance through customs — bypassing distribution centers and cutting costs and time to market.

Traditional distribution often involves multiple service providers, handoffs and the use of a distribution center. These factors can slow down the distribution process and result in increased inventory, poor visibility and an increased risk of error, loss or damage. FedEx International DirectDistribution offers a flexible end-to-end solution. FedEx consolidates multiple packages or freight into one shipment to reduce fees and streamline clearance through customs, before transporting and distributing individual shipments directly to customers and retailers without your goods stopping at a distribution center or warehouse. See the difference.

FedEx International Priority is a point-to-point international service that transports one shipment to a single delivery address. FedEx International DirectDistribution consolidates multiple packages or freight into one shipment for efficient clearance through customs — bypassing distribution centers. Packages are delivered directly to multiple destination delivery addresses, which cuts your costs and time to market.

With FedEx International DirectDistribution, your company can:

  • Ship multiple packages to multiple destination delivery addresses in a single destination country.
  • Keep your inventory in transit rather than sitting in a warehouse or distribution center.
  • Increase your speed to market.
  • Reduce your costs by cutting clearance fees and lowering inventory carrying costs.
  • Coordinate with a single point of contact to help manage your distribution needs.

There are many situations where you want to reduce your international supply chain costs and transit time. Some examples where FedEx International DirectDistribution is useful are:

  • Seasonal programs tied to specific holidays.
  • Product launches.
  • Inventory replenishment.
  • When your distribution center infrastructure is at capacity or nonexistent.
  • Industry sectors where consumer tastes change rapidly.
