With products reaching niche and under-served markets, business models focused on sustainability and just all-around innovative products — these are the top twelve small businesses that blew us away this year.

Grand prize winner

This top honor receives a $50,000 grant plus $7,500 in FedEx Office® print and business services.

Silver prize winner

Bronze prize winners

BroglieBox makes it simple to send loved ones support from afar with curated boxes filled with gift-worthy products and resources that support mental health well-being, including the company’s Piece of Mind Magazine.

Jessie's Nutty Cups

Jessie’s Nutty Cups takes the classic peanut-butter-and-chocolate pairing up a notch, bringing “Nutty Smiles” with handcrafted, gourmet-quality treats with unexpected ingredients, like pretzels and sea salt.

Kanga

Unimpressed by existing coolers, Kanga’s founders went after what was missing: fun and convenience. The result was the no-ice, keep-the-case Kase Mate, a koozie for a case of your favorite beverage.

lumenomics

Focused on sustainability, lumenomics reduces reliance on electric light through integrated shade and lighting systems that maximize natural light and boost energy efficiency in commercial spaces.

Modern Christmas Trees

In tribute to his grandpa’s ingenious tree made of rings – and the traditions shared around it – Matthew Bliss updated the design with Modern Christmas Trees to share the spirit with families everywhere year-round.

Olori

In partnership with women-owned businesses and local artisans in Africa, Olori handbags create fashion with impact, highlighting their culture and supporting girls' education in under-served African communities.

Pit Barrel Cooker Co.

Honored as the veteran-owned Business, family-run Pit Barrel Cooker Co. makes outdoor cooking hassle-free with an innovative meat-hanging method and barrel-shaped cooker that takes the guesswork out of barbecue.

VOXAPOD

VOXAPOD offers period care products with a purpose – helping to fight the gender gap. The brand donates products and 2% of sales to keep girls in school and provide menstrual health education in developing countries.

Waterlust

Through eco-friendly apparel that visually promotes the importance of environmental conservation, Waterlust makes clothing a fun and functional communication tool while helping fund research and education.
