Desktop Shipping

Now you can use FedEx Ship Manager® Software, FedEx Ship Manager® Server, and FedEx Web Services to manage your FedEx Freight®, FedEx Express® and FedEx Ground® shipments. This easy-to-install software turns your desktop into a high-powered shipping station and gives you the power to ship when you want, stay informed and save time. And you can also:

  • Monitor and manage shipment activity across one or multiple accounts.
  • Set shipping defaults for yourself and others to control costs.
  • Create shipment profiles to accelerate the shipping process.
  • Create, add and edit customized reports for shipments processed.

Freight Shipping with FedEx Ship Manager Software

Enable your FedEx account in three easy steps.

  • Select LTL Freight Accounts from the Databases drop-down menu. Click Add. The Add Freight Account screen will display.
  • Enter the required information to add an account, then click OK.
  • Close FedEx Ship Manager Software and relaunch it. That’s it: Your FedEx Freight LTL account is
 now enabled.

Set up your printer

For the Bill of Lading:

  • Step 1: Select Forms from the Customize drop-down menu. The Form Settings screen displays.
  • Step 2: Scroll and select FedEx LTL Freight Bill of Lading from the Label/Report Type menu.
  • Step 3: Click Change and select the appropriate laser printer.

For the shipping label:

  • Step 1: Select Forms from the Customize drop-down menu. The Form Settings screen displays.
  • Step 2: Scroll and select FedEx LTL Freight Labels from the Label/Report Type menu.
  • Step 3: Click Change and select the appropriate printer.

If you don’t have a thermal printer, ask your FedEx account executive about requesting one or call the FedEx Ship Manager Technical Support Center at 1.877.339.2774 and say "FedEx Ship Manager Software" when prompted.

Set your preferences

  • Step 1: Select Shipping Profiles from the Customize drop-down menu.
  • Step 2: Select the appropriate FedEx Freight LTL shipping profile and click View/Edit. The View/Edit LTL Freight Shipping Profile screen displays.
  • Step 3: Click the 1-Field Preferences tab to set a default for a particular account number.
  • Step 4: Click the 2-FedEx LTL Freight Preferences tab to set up which documents automatically print and to set the preferred label stock.
  • Step 5: Click OK to save your preferences.
