pickup, you need to open a FedEx account. Do this before you create your label so you can start saving right away.

Easily schedule an on-call pickup online
If you only ship occasionally, on-call pickups are a flexible option. You can schedule a pickup
through the pickup application or while creating a label online.

Here’s how to schedule an on-call pickup:
On-call parcel pickup
- Expedited service: pickups for expedited shipments can be scheduled for same day or next day pickup.
- Standard and economy services: schedule pickups for standard or economy shipments the next business day or up to 10 business days in advance.
On-call freight pickup
For shipments over 150lbs:
- LTL (less-than-truckload) freight service: Schedule pickups for LTL freight shipments up to 10 business days in advance. You can ship within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
- Air freight service: schedule pickups for 1-, 2-, or 3-day domestic, and 1-5-day international for air freight shipments.
You don't need a FedEx account to schedule a freight pickup.

Not going to be home for a pickup?
You don’t have to be present for a FedEx pickup. But be sure to leave your package somewhere safe and accessible to the driver. Look for a FedEx door tag that confirms pickup and provides tracking information. If the driver determines your package can’t be picked up, the door tag will explain why and tell you what to do next.

Did you miss a delivery, or prefer to pick up a package?
If you have a door tag that tells you to pick up your shipment, get location details. To redirect a package that’s already on its way, request to hold it at a retail store.
Convenience is automatic with automated pickups
If you ship regularly, but not every day, consider using automated FedEx pickups. You won't have to schedule your pickups. We’ll only come on the days you need us, saving you time and money.

- You’ll complete a one-time enrollment and setup process.
- You can use only one FedEx account number per single pickup location.
- We'll keep you informed of the scheduling status of your automated pickup with notifications.

- For expedited and/or standard parcels, select the number of pickup days each week that best suits your needs. At least one package is expected per pickup.

Recurring freight pickups
If your shipments are over 150lbs., you can schedule regularly scheduled air freight and LTL freight pickups. They’re free Monday through Friday.
To schedule regularly scheduled freight pickups, contact customer service at 1.800.GoFedEx (1.800.463.3339) and select ‘express freight' for air freight service or 'freight’ for LTL freight service.

If you need to schedule a FedEx pickup with a prepaid label, contact customer service. Or consider dropping off your package at one of thousands of convenient locations.
Opt-in for pickup notifications when scheduling your on-call pickup to receive updates such as a pickup scheduled confirmation, an upcoming pickup reminder, and an attempted pickup outcome (if any packages were successfully collected or not).
You can view your pickup window in the My Pickups tab. Your packages should be ready at least two hours before your business closes.
If you need to update or cancel your existing pickup, log in to the fedex.com with your account ID and password. Select the pickup that you had scheduled to make any changes.

Typically, FedEx picks up packages from drop boxes between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Some apartments or condo buildings have regularly scheduled set up for residents. Check with the front desk to see if your building has a recurring pickup.
If you miss a scheduled pickup, contact customer service. If you miss a regularly scheduled or automated pickup, either keep the packages for your next pickup or drop them off at a nearby retail location. If the driver arrives during the pickup window, pickup fees will apply regardless if a package is collected or not.
*Complimentary FedEx packaging is only available for shipments using FedEx expedited, FedEx Express Saver or FedEx International Economy services.
