Printer-Friendly When You Need to Reroute Your FedEx Freight® Shipment
Need to send your freight shipment in a different direction? Give us the info and we’ll take it from there.
From time to time, you might have a need to reroute your freight shipment. Maybe your customer wants the delivery to go to a different warehouse, the routing of a multi-load delivery needs to be reversed, or the recipient didn’t accept the shipment after its arrival.
Whatever the case, FedEx Freight and FedEx National LTL can easily make the adjustments. All you have to do is provide the rerouting, or reconsignment, information by taking these steps:
Track your shipment’s status
- Contact FedEx Freight Customer Service at 1.866.393.4585, or your local service center, as soon as you’re aware of the delivery change.
- Complete and send an updated Bill of Lading. Provide the address of the new consignee to indicate where the freight should be redirected. You can do so on fedex.com simply by logging in to My Account and selecting the BOL tab.
- Email a letter of authority to your customer service representative stating which party — you or the recipient — will be responsible for any incremental fees.
