FedEx Express will accept packages until Saturday, Dec. 22, for delivery before Christmas. Customers shipping packages in the contiguous U.S. will have until Dec. 17 to ship via FedEx Ground® or FedEx Home Delivery® for delivery before Christmas (Dec. 13 for packages shipped to or from Alaska and Hawaii).
Consistent with our FedEx Service Guide, the FedEx Money-Back Guarantee for on-time delivery for many FedEx Express® services will be suspended temporarily on Wednesday, Nov. 21, and from Tuesday, Dec. 18, through Monday, Dec. 24, for shipments that reach their destinations within 90 minutes of the scheduled commitment time.
The money-back guarantee for FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery will be suspended temporarily for packages tendered during the 14 calendar days before Tuesday, Dec. 25 (Tuesday, Dec. 11, through Monday, Dec. 24).
Yes, it is our busiest time of the year. We project that FedEx will see its busiest night in history on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, with a total of almost 11.3 million packages moving through the FedEx Express and FedEx Ground networks. The average volume throughout the year is more than 7 million packages daily.
FedEx Ground projects it will handle its highest package volume ever on Dec. 10, 2007, when it expects to move more than 7 million packages through its network.
Dec. 17, 2007, is expected to be the busiest night for FedEx Express, when nearly 5 million packages will move through its network.
The award-winning fedex.com Web site is expected to break records as well this holiday season, processing an average of almost 6.5 million online tracking requests per day during the peak month of December. On average, fedex.com processes 3.5 million online tracking requests per day. On the highest single day in December, we expect 8 million online tracking requests.
FedEx Kinko's will also see its busiest night on Dec. 17, 2007, when 345,000 FedEx Express and FedEx Ground packages move through the FedEx Kinko's channel.
