H Owing to recent events in the Republic of Mali, a number of Post Offices (Timbuktu, Gao, Kidal, Gourma Rharouss, Niafunké, Tonka, Ansongo, Bourem, Menaka, Tessalit, Diré, Goundam, Tenenkou, Youwarou, Douentza and Koulouba) have been closed temporarily causing delays to all mail services.
Russia 13 Apr. H Russia Post has been challenged to process record amounts of incoming international mail throughout the year. The latest hurdle came as a 100-ton backlog of mail caused Russia Post to declare a two-day suspension on all mail arrivals to Moscow on 10-11 April.
Syria 20 Apr. H Due to the difficult situation in the Syrian Arab Republic at present, the postal authority is finding it difficult to meet its postal obligations and delays to all mail services are expected.
