How to Reset Forgotten Password or Find User ID

How do I reset my password?

Step One

Select the fedex.com Sign up or Log In module and the drop-down menu will appear. The user should click FORGOT PASSWORD/USER ID?

Step Two

After clicking the link, a screen will display containing fields to retrieve both the User ID and Password.

  • Under the Forgot/Reset your Password? section, enter your User ID and click Continue.
  • If you have forgotten your User ID, enter your email address in the Forgot your user ID? section. You must have access to the email account associated with your User ID. If you do not, please reset by using your secret question.

Step Three

Once you have entered your user ID, you will have two options for resetting your password:

Option 1: Reset password by answering a secret question.

Option 2: Reset password by email. You will need access to your email account to reset your password.

Step Four

Option 1: Click the Answer Question button to use reset your password with a secret question. Enter the answer to your secret question and click Continue.

  • FedEx will confirm the secret answer entered is correct. You will have five attempts to answer your question correctly before you will be locked out of your account.
  • If you are locked out after five attempts, you will need to reset your password by entering your email address.You will need access to this email account to reset your password.

If the answer is NOT correct, the following error messages will be returned:

1st - 3rd time unsuccessful Your answer does not match the information associated with your profile.
4th time unsuccessful Warning! After the next incorrect attempt, your Secret Answer will be temporarily suspended.
5th time unsuccessful Your Secret Answer has been temporarily suspended. To reset your password, please use Option 2.

Option 2: Click Send Email button to reset your password through your email account. You will need access to your email account to reset your password. Please note that this link will expire in 24 hours from the time of your password reset request. After that time, you will need to restart the process by clicking on the Forgot Password link on fedex.com.

Step Five

You will receive an email titled Your fedex.com password from FedEx.com Online Services. To reset your fedex.com password, click on the link in your email or copy and paste it into your web browser address bar. This link is valid for 24 hours from the time of your password reset request.

  • The link will only work the first time you click on it.
  • Once you arrive on the web page, you will be given instructions to reset your password.
  • Password must use at least eight characters and contain one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one numeric character.
