Minimizing returns while following requirements

Because state law requires that U.S. wine shipments are signed for by an adult at the time of delivery, we’ll make up to three delivery attempts to ensure this occurs. And to help minimize the return of wine shipments, we offer you the ability to initiate a reroute to an alternate delivery address. You simply call FedEx Customer Service at 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339. For more information about this option, refer to Step 2 of the authorization process outlined on the Getting Started page.


Hold at FedEx Location service

This service option makes it easy for your customers to pick up their FedEx Express® wine shipments when a scheduled delivery just won’t work. Your customers will appreciate the added flexibility, convenience, and peace of mind that comes with knowing their wine shipments are safe and available when they choose to retrieve them. The FedEx ExpressClear® electronic customs-clearance system transmits documents and data about your international shipments online to foreign FedEx brokers while your FedEx Express packages are en route, speeding the clearance process and resulting in fewer delays. Plus, as part of the service, we review your documentation for potential clearance issues and address issues on your behalf when federal regulatory agencies raise questions. And best of all, it’s included at no extra charge with our shipping services.
